Delta Printing Solutions new 12,000 book/hr Corona Bindery

VALENCIA, Calif., September 21, 2007 – In an effort to constantly improve services for their customers, Delta Printing Solutions proudly announces the addition of a Muller Martini Corona Perfect Binder. The new, fully automated top-of-the-line machine provides top quality books at a high net capacity. Shorter job changeover times are made possible by advanced servomotors and machine electronics.

The Muller Martini Corona perfect binder can run at up to 12,000 cycles per hour and has 24 pockets. A fully integrated electronic control system includes an optical scanner that detects missed or duplicate signatures. The dual 3-knife trimming units have double trimming capacity and a diverting sorter. This allows an operator to simultaneously run two conveyors into the separate trimming units.

“We’ve been able to significantly reduce the amount of make-ready waste,” Richardson says. “This increases our yield and reduces the amount of planned spoilage from customers.  Whenever customers hear they can provide fewer sheets for the same results … they’re very pleased.”
