VALENCIA, Calif., February 21, 2008 –Delta Printing Solutions announces that it has completed a redesign of its manufacturing floor that consolidates bindery operations, offers reinstalled lighting and improves the overall workflow of the plant. “This redesign further increases the efficiency of our operations,” says Tony Richardson, president and CEO of Delta Printing Solutions. “The bindery was consolidated into a single location allowing for easier tracking of individual jobs. This improves our ability to supervise employees and increases throughput by reduced handling.” Workflow from Delta’s bindery to the shipping department now flows in a straight line which reduces the time required for transfer from the last bindery operation to shipping and promotes on-time delivery. Another key element in the redesign was the reinstallation of energy efficient lighting that will reduce emissions, heat and total energy costs while 5000K lighting at press will ensure greater color accuracy. Upgraded task lighting will also enhance quality support and assist the identification of potential defects. Delta’s commitment to environmentally-conscious options for its customers received an additional boost since the plant’s scrap handling program has been brought up to 21st century standards.
